I'm a from-scratch baker, but when tubs of frosting go on sale and I have a fist-full of coupons, I can't resist. A quick tip to make canned chocolate frosting taste like the real thing is to beat in a 1/4 cup or so of really good powdered chocolate (Dutch is best, with high cocoa solids) and a splash of strong black coffee. Adjust dry/liquid ingredients to taste. No one will know!
