I've always heard this called "Johnny Marzetti," my nieces and nephew call it Cheesy Beefy Casserole!
1 pkg egg noodles
1 lb ground beef
1 small pkg/cube of Velveeta cheese (if you like really cheesy dishes than use more)
1 can diced tomatoes
Salt & pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350.
Cook noodles according to package directions, draining a minute or two before they are done. Brown the ground beef and drain. Cut the Velveeta into strips or cubes. Open and drain diced tomatoes. Mix all ingredients together in 9x9 or 9x13 baking dish.
Bake until Velveeta is melted, stirring at least once to make sure all of the cheese is melted.
Another favorite of mine is:
Alfredo with Italian Sausage
1 pkg small shell noodles
1 lb ground Italian sausage (or links cut out of the casings)
1 jar Alfredo sauce
1 can diced tomatoes OR 1 small pkg sun dried tomatoes cut into small pieces
Pre-heat oven to 350.
Cook noodles according to package directions, draining a minute or two before they are done. Brown the sausage and drain. Open and drain diced tomatoes OR chop and add sun dried tomatoes. Mix all ingredients (including the Alfredo) together in 9x9 or 9x13 baking dish, bake at 350 until all is warm.
